Different levels of tuning packages are available, from near off-the-shelf maps tweaked for your car to full custom maps for advanced setups and maximum performance. Also available is a custom secondary map for xDrive vehicles with launch control type settings to provide a hard launch when your need that extra tenth of a second in the quarter mile.
The Bootmod3 (BM3) tuning platform is used for remotely building maps and reviewing logs. Tune package prices do not include a BM3 license, which must be purchased separately.
Once you’ve purchased a BM3 license, one option is to use an off-the-shelf maps provided through BM3. You might look through the Bootmod3 Facebook (private group) comments regarding their N63TU maps to help you make a decision on whether to use their OTS maps or get a map from a tuner who specializes in the N63TU. Baski Speedworks has invested thousands of hours learning the nuances of the N63TU, developed custom diagnostic electronics specifically for the N63TU, and made countless real-world test runs to reverse engineer the algorithms and tables of the BMW V8 dual DMEs.
